Formaggio Kitchen and the people who keep adding to it
Editorial Orientation
By the time something reaches us, a room, a meal, a film, a political choice, a piece of music, a place, countless choices and production decisions have already shaped the encounter. Ideas and values become choices, and those choices shape what ultimately reaches us and how we experience it.
The Magazine follows that process. We study the structures, institutions, people, and decisions through which experience is produced, and the relationship between those choices and what it ultimately feels like to encounter what they have made.
We also pay attention to the combinations of choices and influences that produce the works, objects, places, ideas, and cultural experiences we continue to return to. Together, they form a growing record of what Valedictorian believes is worth preserving: Canon.
The subjects change, but the inquiry remains the same: how is experience made, and which experiences prove worth returning to?

ISSUES 001–006
The first six issues, when the Perspective was still becoming itself: testing a form, refining a voice, and discovering what could be sustained.
ISSUE 007
Issue 007 begins the publication's editorial-magazine reinvention and the current recurring publication grammar.

Rediscover
Older work resurfaced because it still has something to say.
Proof of Practice.
By the third issue, the Perspective had stopped feeling like an experiment and started to feel repeatable. The system was still rough, but the form was beginning to hold. This is the moment the publication starts to look less like a one-off and more like something that could become a practice.
Return to itThe First Threshold.
Six months in, the Perspective had earned enough continuity to feel stable and worth building around. The audience was still small, but the response was real. This issue marks the point where repetition became confidence, and where the publication began to look like it could become an institution.
